The goal of San Marco Petroli is the safety of its terminal, prevention and control of accidents, the protection of safety and health of its employees and inhabitants as well as environmental protection. Subsequently, San Marco Petroli has adopted an internal safety guideline (SGS).

- carries out its activities in compliance with security policies and acts in a responsible manner to avoid dangerous conditions that may have ramifications on the health of its employees and the public, and not harm the environment;
- ensures that its personnel is adequately informed and trained on safety and environmental aspects associated with its activities;
- makes available all information necessary to understand the risks of business operations, while ensuring open and transparent dialogue with the inhabitants;
- ensures open and collaborative relationships with the public authorities.
